What we care about

Travel has been such a big part of our lives and provides a lifestyle which we treasure. In appreciation, we want to contibute to the countries we visit and and community we live in. Here are some of the organizations we value and support financially:

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), a well respected international humanitarian organization and winner of the Nobel Peace Price in 1999, is an international medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971. www.doctorswithoutborders.org

Today, MSF provides aid in nearly 60 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters. MSF provides independent, impartial assistance to those most in need. MSF reserves the right to speak out to bring attention to neglected crises, to challenge inadequacies or abuse of the aid system, and to advocate for improved medical treatments and protocols.

Center for Compassionate Living, Bend, OR

100+ Women Who Care
Beth is a member of the local chapter of women who meet quarterly to hear presentations from local non-profit organizations seeking to raise funds for their work in our community. Each member donates $100 per quarter to the non-profit that has been voted on by the members. This organization has been a huge success in supporting our smaller non-profits in their work with the homeless, disabled and other less fortunate members of our community. http://100wwcco.com/
